Studied English Literature and Fine Art at the West London Institute of Higher Education for a London University BA Hons.
Began engraving at evening classes in 1980 whilst studying. Accepted as a Craft Member by the Guild of Glass Engravers in 1982 and Highly Commended as First Time Exhibitor in 1983 National Exhibition.

Elected Fellow of the Guild of Glass Engravers 1987. Chairman of the Guild of Glass Engravers 1998 - 2002. Elected Hon. Vice President of the Guild 2005. Elected as a Brother of the Art Workers Guild 1996.

Lectures on behalf of the Guild. Delivered Guild Lecture at 1995 Conference at UCL. Participated in Guild Annual Spring Lecture 1998 and 2002.
Exhibited in all Guild National Exhibitions since 1983 including : Pilkingtons (St Helens) 1990 Gallery 27, Cork St 2000 and 2002 Exhibition Organiser Guild Exhibition Romsey Abbey 1998 Winner of Christopher Russell Lettering Prize 1998 and 2004 Exhibited Craft Movement 1994 - 1996. Demonstrated at Art in Action 1985-2000 and 2005.

Teaches at Edward James Foundation, West Dean College and in local Adult Education.
Commissions include pieces for : Ampleforth College, BBC, Chelsea Physic Garden, Civil Aviation Authority, Eton College, Hampshire County Council, Hilliers, Winchester College, The Dean and Chapter of Winchester Cathedral, The World Meteorolgical Organisation, The Royal Horticultural Society.

Work has been presented Her Majesty the Queen Mother, the Sultan of Oman and the Duchess of Gloucester. Recently the Historic Royal Palaces commissioned a piece to present to Her Majesty the Queen at a ceremony to mark the Tower Hill Improvement Scheme.

Large scale works include: A window in the Dovecote Chapel at the Wessex Children`s Hospice. Doors for All Saints Church, Fulham. Millennium Doors for the Minster at Ilminster. Millennium windows for St John the Baptist Church , Boldre and St Peter`s Church, Hurstbourne Tarrant. Two panels for the Epiphany Chapel in Winchester Cathedral. Two large screens and a pair of doors for St Nicholas Church, Wickham. Two memorial panels for the south doors of Romsey Abbey. North and South doors for Luton Parish Church. Doors for St John`s Church Axbridge, and St Mary Magdalene, Taunton. A pair of windows for St Nicholas Church, Brockenhurst. A vestry screen for St Michael and All Angels, Thursley.
